Cloud Computing - Is it the New dotcom?

During TechCrunch Cloud computing event hosted by Steve Gillmor, around cloud computing featured many of the biggest names like Salesforce.com, Rackspace, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Sun, Facebook, Ning, Amazon.com, Friendfeed. Each one spoke about how their product leveraged the cloud. But before we keep jumping into this top and latching ourselves to Cloud Computing we may have to tackle basic issues first such as issues relating to privacy, reliability, security of data. Co-founder Paul Buchheit from FriendFeed felt that people are not too concerned where their data is being stored. Errr not sure if that is in fact true. If we need to get this trend started on a good note guess people would like to understand what Cloud computing is all about along with having assurance about their data being secured.
