Will Google standby its Motto “Do No Evil”?
David Nelson a 15-year-old has created a free-music service by harnessing YouTube’s vast library of music videos. The service enables people to stream Youtube music straight to their PC without visiting Youtube. Users can build pluralists and organize this similar to iTunes. The 15 year old said “It’s really the first 100% free, legal method for listening to digital music,” since the music is played from YouTube servers, artists will receive payment, thus avoiding legal issues.
Greg Sandoval from CNet contacted YouTube to get their views about this service. Youtube have said that they have just noticed this service and on initial review Muziic appears to have violated the API terms of use.
Its going to be interesting to see how Youtube or for that matter Google is going to tackle this situation specially since the Ads that are seen on Yourtube will no longer be viewed by Muziic members. So will Google support Muziic who believe that information should be accessible by any and everyone.
David is a fan of Google and believes that Google will recognize that the service is a great way to listen to music.

So will Google standby its Motto “Do No Evil” ?
