June 25th, 2008 | 1 Comment | Posted in Web Business Life Strategy

How do you go about estimating your time on a project for gathering requirements for a specific project? This gets a bit tricky.

How much detail of the project is already know, how complex is the project, what is the technology used, what current system would have impacts on this project, how much time and effort is the business spending on providing you the requirements?

To be able to estimate this, the first and most difficult task that needs to be committed is to know the number and availability of the key stakeholders. Once you have this Block two hours essentially with each stakeholder that’s responsible to be the subject matter expert in their part of the business so that you understand how much time would be required to complete the gathering of requirements.
