David Nelson a 15-year-old has created a free-music service by harnessing YouTube's vast library of music videos. The service enables people to stream Youtube music straight to their PC without visiting Youtube. Users can build pluralists and organize this similar to iTunes. The 15 year old said "It's really the first 100% free, legal method for listening to digital music," since the music is played from YouTube servers, artists will receive payment, thus avoiding legal issues.

Twitter certainly, holds the market share when it comes to micro-blogging services. Google has now announced that it is releasing its Jaiku code under the open source Apache license 2.0. Google will no longer be developing the Jaiku codebase, but since it will be open source the community can now start contributing back to this project. Twenty-seven large publishers are introducing three new types of online display ads. The new formats are meant to reduce clutter and provide more visibility.
