Web Publishers to move beyond Banner ads

Twenty-seven large publishers are introducing three new types of online display ads. The new formats are meant to reduce clutter and provide more visibility. One of this is the “pushdown,” 970 pixels wide by 418 tall on the page. What this ad space would do is when the page opens, the pushdown ad will expand downward, and then roll up to the top of the page.     A New Zealand Christchurch Company VortexDNA has created an algorithm that uses the mathematics of complex systems to predict human behavior. The technology offers companies the ability to better anticipate how their customers are likely to act. The application allocates a seven-digit number to consumers or users, which produces a new form of user segmentation, called genomic segmentation.
