Disney Acquires Kerpoof’s a web-based creative design suite for children

Kerpoof, that launched at 2007′s TechCrunch 40, has been acquired by Disney. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.The company’s technology is primarily image-based with little instruction needed thus making it simpler for Kids Source DMW Daily

Coghead Closing

A visual web-based application editor that allowed users to develop enterprise applications, has closed its doors. The company attributes its closing to the dire economic situation, and says that users will be able to access and download their data through April 30, 2009.

The Vatican launches its own video channel on YouTube

The channel, YouTube.com/Vatican, will broadcast short video news clips of upto 2 minutes duration produced daily on the Pope’s activities and what’s happening at the Vatican. The Channel aims to help establish relationships with Catholics, from around the world.

Vodafone to sell Google-powered ‘Magic’ touchscreen smartphone in NZ.
